FULLY DEVOTED TO THE MISSION

WORLD CHANGERS

This summer, 20 New Life Youth students and leaders made their way cross-country to Augusta, Georgia, to partner with the Bridge Ministry. The Bridge Ministry exists to love, serve, and reach the poor and homeless in their region. The students got to help serve at their food pantry, and the next day served and led worship during their weekly church service under an overpass. A couple of the students were baptized during the Bridge service, too!

This group of teens showed the love of Jesus everywhere they went, and it made headlines! The students were also featured on Augusta’s Club 36 show and got to meet the Mayor of Augusta. They bonded while doing summer activities like spending a day of R&R at Tybee Island.

All of the students and leaders encountered God in new ways and saw growth in many areas of their lives during this trip. Check out some personal testimonies from students and leaders. And THANK YOU for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support of the youth’s summer trips!

WE LOVE WICHITA

This summer we’ve had so much fun reaching the community and serving as a church family. (And it’s not over yet! Get ready to go from the seats to the streets for Open Streets ICT!)

During all of our Serve Wichita Summer, we’ve met new families in the neighborhood, shown God’s love to guests, and gotten closer as a church family.

“It’s always fun to see the church come together to serve, and having so many opportunities to connect here at our church this summer was a really great step in reaching the community and letting our neighborhood know what we’re about.”

– Chelsey Snow, Serve Wichita Coordinator

FULLY DEVOTED TO THE VISION

INTRODUCING NEW LIFE YOUNG ADULTS

We are so excited to see our newest ministry addition, New Life Young Adults, connecting and thriving! What started as a dream earlier this year has turned into a ministry full of 18-30 year olds celebrating, encouraging, and building each other up. NLYA has been spending their summer together at weekly gatherings hanging out, eating good food, playing games, and even spending some time on the lake.

“I think one of my favorite moments was wake boarding. What I drew from that experience was that the harder I tried to pull myself up, the more I struggled. The more I focused on riding the wave and relaxing was when I was able to get up and ride along with the boat. I feel that is what is happening with group – the elders of the church opening their homes and allowing the young adults like us ride the wave of the Holy Spirit that is manifesting in the atmosphere.”

– Arri Evans

Our NLYA weekly gatherings are still going on! If you’d like to join the New Life Young Adults community, we’d love to see you at the next gathering. Click here for upcoming events!

FULLY DEVOTED TO OUR COMMUNITY

PROJECT 1819

When we started the Fully Devoted series, we had big plans for our building including replacing the 64-year-old HVAC system, getting common areas ready for more guests, and adding restrooms to the North Lobby. During Quarter 1 (March-May), the HVAC project was completed, and we got our gym looking clean with fresh paint. Now at the end of Quarter 2 (June-Aug.) we have plans drawn up for the new restrooms! We are making amazing progress here at 1819 W. Douglas, and it’s all thanks to your generosity.

“This was one of our big goals when we launched Fully Devoted, and we’re excited that plans are taking shape just six months in. We’re excited that this addition will serve the community during Sunday mornings and special events.”

– Pastor Tim Fruits

As you’ve probably heard us say, there is nothing inherently spiritual about bathrooms, parking, or heating and air. The value comes when we realize that each of the items and each of these spaces represents room for a person to become connected to God and to the church family. We are maximizing our property’s potential so we can reach our community in a greater way!
